14 October 2025 – Deutsche GigaNetz GmbH and ocilion are continuing their successful collaboration on a long-term basis. Both companies have agreed to an early contract extension, which ensures the continued provision and expansion of the IPTV product ‘MyTV’.
The TV offering has been an integral part of Deutsche GigaNetz's product portfolio since its inception and is available via set-top boxes as well as via apps for smart TVs, streaming devices, smartphones and tablets. ‘MyTV’ offers customers a wide range of entertainment packages from HD channels live and with convenient functions for time-shifted television, media libraries, access to streaming services and its own video library. The IPTV product has established itself as an important added value in the fibre optic offering.
With the contract extension, Deutsche GigaNetz will be one of the first network operators to introduce the next generation of the new ocilion user interface and the latest end devices and make them available to end customers.
ocilion is relying on Google's Android TV operating system for its sixth generation of set-top boxes (P610). Thanks to the Android TV Operator Tier programme and Custom Launcher, network operators receive their tailor-made IPTV product under their own brand as usual, with individual UI design and numerous pre-installed premium apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube and many other relevant streaming services and media libraries. Together with the P610 set-top box, ocilion is delivering the new ‘UI6’ user interface . In addition to maximum user-friendliness, UI6 enables innovative content discovery, content promotion options and intelligent voice search in the network operator's branding, among other things.
